A brief history about art

Communication I guess was the first form of art, works of art can tell stories or simply express an aesthetic truth or feeling.

Art has been around since the beginning of time, and presents itself in many mediums.

I was surprised to learn that most of the famous Artists we know of today developed their basic skills and techniques by being apprentices, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt and Michelangelo are the first three that I discovered were apprentices.

In the case of Leonardo da Vinci he was actually an apprentice of  artist Andrea di Cione, before he became famous for his painting of Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
